Coconut Flour Paleo Brownies


Dense, moist & very chocolatey, these brownies hit the spot!

Pre heat oven to 300F. Grease 2 6″ rounds or 1 8×8 with butter

In a bowl mix:
1/2 cup coconut flour (do not pack cup, scoop & swipe)
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup Kerry Gold or other grass fed butter, melted
1/2-3/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
3 large brown eggs (room temp)
1 tsp bourbon vanilla extract
1 tsp course sea salt
1 tsp baking powder

In a bowl whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
Add in maple syrup & butter, eggs & vanilla and mix well.

Pour mix in to prepared baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool before enjoying.

I served with some banana butter because, yum!

    Hi, so i made these tonight.... I forgot to add in the butter. It was listed on the ingredient list but then not on the steps to make it :( so i forgot!! And then the ingredient says baking powder and in the steps it says baking soda??? Are these two the same?? Can we use either?? Thanks!!
    1. gah! So sorry! I'll fix that. Sometimes when I type these up my toddler is running around and it's hard to focus. You can use butter or coconut oil (both in liquid form), and mix it in with the maple syrup. It's baking powder (gluten free!). Thank you!!!
