Beef & Offal Burgers!


 Pink everything! Beef & offal burger over arugula, pomegranate & chimichurri with sauerkraut, avocado & blood orange. Perfection. For the burger: 2 lbs grass fed beef 1 cup ground liver with 4 garlic cloves 1 tsp mustard powder 2 tsp pink Himalayan salt 2 tbsp Italian herb blend 1 tbsp ground black pepper Grease a baking sheet with coconut oil. Form 8 4ox patties. Bake at 400F for 10 minutes. Let cool. Store in airtight container. Pan fry to heat!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs grass fed beef
  • 1 cup ground liver with 4 garlic cloves (I grind it up in the food processor)
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 2 tsp pink Himalayan salt
  • 2 tbsp Italian herb blend
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Grease a baking sheet with coconut oil.
  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
  • Form 8 4oz patties.
  • Bake at 400F for 10 minutes.
  • Let cool.
  • Store in airtight container.
  • Pan fry to re-heat!

Trying to get more organ meat in my diet, but it’s hard because the family won’t knowingly eat it, yup, that includes my husband. These burgers are the perfect recipe. You can’t taste it at all. I don’t specify which kind of liver, beef or chicken, you can use either. I used chicken, which is why I also cooked my burgers medium-well.

Served over this super colorful salad, this meal was a nutritional powerhouse!
